The Press Institute of India and the ICRC are organizing a competition for the best article and photograph on the topic of "Health care in danger."

Theme: Violence against health services and health personnel operating in the face of danger

Have you published an article on the challenges that health workers face during armed violence? Have you published a photograph that captures an attack on an ambulance, a hospital, medical personnel or medical facilities? Or obstruction of health services? Or any similar situation? Share it with us!

Prizes

1st Prize – INR 50,000
2nd Prize – INR 30,000
3rd Prize – INR 20,000

Rules

Print and photo journalists - poster

 
  • You must submit your entry by 15 September 2013
  • We will announce the results by November 2013
  • The article or photo must have appeared in a national or regional Indian newspaper or magazine between April 2012 and March 2013
  • If the article appeared in a regional language, you must submit an exact English translation
  • You may only submit one entry in each category
  • You will have to produce proof that your article or picture has appeared in the newspaper or magazine you specify
  • Relatives of members of the jury and organizers can not participate
  • The decision of the jury is final
