The ICRC Appeals 2009 present the following figures:
Headquarters Appeal: CHF 168.6 million
Emergency Appeals: CHF 996.9 million which includes a contingency of CHF 47.5 million
This represents an increase of CHF 64.3 million (+ 6.9%) compared with the initial Emergency Appeals 2008 i.e. the amount initially appealed for, not including any additional budget extensions that occurred during the year.
