Bangladesh: 13th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition 2022 — Call for Registration

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in partnership with the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), will organize the 13th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition, Bangladesh national round, on 22–24 September 2022. Interested students from universities across Bangladesh are invited to register as teams for the competition.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all students enrolled in a full-time or evening programme leading to or equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.) or Master's in law (LL.M.). Students who have participated in the competition previously are not eligible to participate again.

Important dates

  • Call for registration and release of moot problem: 27 July 2022
  • Deadline for registration: 20 August 2022
  • Deadline for submission of memorials: 14 September 2022

Two top-ranking teams from the national round will qualify for the South Asia regional round. Winners of the regional rounds will go on to participate in the Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition (Asia-Pacific round). If the South Asia regional round cannot be organized in 2022 because of the prevailing pandemic and related restrictions, the winning team of the national round will automatically qualify for the Asia-Pacific round.

The ICRC reserves the right to change the contents of this notice, the rules and all arrangements of the 13th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition.
