Iraq: ICRC rushes aid to people fleeing fighting in Ramadi

Hundreds of thousands are living under harsh conditions in the makeshift camps of Anbar, Baghdad and other provinces after fleeing fighting in and around Ramadi.

The ICRC recently delivered badly-needed food, blankets, soap and other basic necessities to over 900 people who had just fled from Ramadi to Habbaniya Camp, located between Ramadi and Fallujah, west of Baghdad.

In 2015, the ICRC supplied 1.35 million people in Iraq with food and other aid, including 100,000 displaced people in Anbar Province.
