Lebanon: 25 years on, still missing but not forgotten

The war in Lebanon ended 25 years ago but the fate of thousands of missing people remains unknown.

There is no effective process in place to address the issue, and many do not speak about the missing as society is still reluctant to do so. On 30 August, families of the missing met with representatives of national associations, civil society and the ICRC in Tripoli, Baalbek and Tyre, to remember their loved ones and to urge the authorities to take action.
