Vitala Ekwas leads a small community of people displaced by the violence plaguing northern Nigeria. Aid from the ICRC and the Nigerian Red Cross is making life a little easier, and water is especially welcome, but Ekwas is waiting impatiently for the rainy season. That's when these displaced people will be able to start sowing seed to grow their own food. The whole community is looking forward to reducing their dependence on aid.
