 Water is the biggest challenge in the war-devasted city of Aleppo. Cutting off water and electricity supplies has become a tool of warfare, with disastrous consequences for the population, on both sides of the front. Tammo van Gastel is an ICRC water engineer working in Aleppo. He explains how the ICRC is both making water available and helping bakeries to provide bread.
