The ICRC's assistance activities cover a wide range of domains, including restoring family links, aids to healthcare and shelter, just to name a few, but also distribution of food and Essential Household items, such as kitchen sets, LED lamps and tents, etc. Getting these items or services to the beneficiaries is the result of a very complex, and well-organized system, in which the ICRC's Logistic Department plays a key role, especially in buying and shipping the items to all distribution sites.
Items are bought in countries around the world, including China, now becoming a good market for the ICRC.
