In the framework of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Additional Protocols to the Geneva Convention, the 7th Advanced International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Summer Session for Lecturers opens today in Beijing. Co-organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Institute for Human Rights, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), the session gathers 50 lecturers, scholars and researchers from universities, military academies, think tanks and research institutions across China.
