Eradicating weapons that keep on killing

Over several decades, cluster munitions have killed and maimed tens of thousands of people in war-torn countries around the world. The Fourth Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on Cluster Munitions is taking place this week in Lusaka, Zambia, where the theme is universalization: encouraging all States to ratify the Convention to ensure a cluster munitions free world. This short film, which reveals the horrific consequences of the use of cluster munitions during the five week conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006, serves as a reminder of why they must be eradicated.
