Hoping: A woman's quest for answers

Rowena's days are filled with longing. She still hopes to find her partner Anton, a construction worker who went missing in the 2017 Marawi conflict.

As in many other countries in the world, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) aims to accompany families like Rowena's during their quest for answers on the fate of their loved ones.

The ICRC, a neutral and independent humanitarian organization, reminds parties to the conflict that under international humanitarian law (IHL), families have the right to know the fate of their missing loved ones.
