During the past few weeks, thousands of people returned back to their villages of Al Luhaib, Albu Mousa, Darweesh, Arab Fadhil and Al Egedat in Diyala province. Displaced for more than a year, they returned home, only to find that most of their houses, infrastructure, and farms were severely damaged. To help families cope with, the ICRC distributed food, blankets, kitchenware, hygiene items, as well as jerry cans to over 11,000 people.
