The Irish Red Cross is a volunteer led Irish charity dedicated to providing impartial services and support to those in need.  Some of the work involves raising funds and awareness for the International Red Cross's humanitarian operations abroad. But a great deal of Irish Red Cross work is at home providing services, promoting social inclusion, running youth programmes, responding to emergencies, treating the injured and sometimes saving lives
