Protecting children affected by armed conflict in South Sudan

Children are suffering immensely in relation to the armed conflict in South Sudan. Boys and girls who are unlawfully recruited, used in hostilities or otherwise associated with armed forces or armed groups are particularly vulnerable: they are often imprisoned, wounded or killed. They are also separated from their families and denied access to education and other essential services. Megan Rock, the ICRC's child protection adviser, recently visited South Sudan.
