On October 13, the world celebrates Disaster Risk Reduction Day.
For this occassion, the ICRC Brussels delegation has produced a short documentary in the framework of its partnership with the European Commission. The film has been realised by the ICRC Paris delegation.
It features interviews with Christos Stylianides, the EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, and Peter Maurer, president of the ICRC.
Both leaders give their vision on the resilience of people affected by armed conflict or natural disasters, and on their capacity to overcome these overwhelming challenges.
