The ICRC opened its regional delegation in Tashkent in 1992 in order to carry out our humanitarian work in Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan.

Our work in Uzbekistan

The ICRC works with governments in the region to help them integrate international humanitarian law (IHL) into national legislation and integrate both IHL and international human rights law into the regulatory framework and training programmes of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and academia.
