The U.N declaration of famine in South Sudan and fears of famine in Somalia steal the headlines, but many in Ethiopia and Kenya are suffering, too. The Kenyan government estimates that 14,000 households are in need of food support.
In response, the ICRC and Kenya Red Cross Society is delivering food and cash assistance to villages on the Kenyan coast. We are providing rice, beans, cooking oil, sugar and seeds for planting.
