Mohammad and his family were forced to escape the conflict in Syria and seek refuge in Lebanon. With no access to health care, Mohammad was almost permanently paralysed after being seriously injured.
The ICRC’s medical team at the Weapon Traumatology and Training Centre (WTTC) provided Mohammad with the needed surgeries and physical rehabilitation. Soon, he will be able to walk his own.
During Mohammad’s treatment at the WTTC, the family received more good news: they will be reunited with their loved ones in Australia.
