Our partnerships with foundations and trusts

Our partnerships with foundations and trusts help us to provide essential assistance and protection to people whose lives have been affected by armed conflict.

Together we can make a difference

Our partnerships with foundations and trusts enable us to access resources to provide life-saving assistance to people caught up in situations of armed violence around the world. With their strong philanthropic focus, foundations and trusts are natural allies for our mission. By working together, we are able to leverage specialized knowledge, networks and influence to amplify our impact and reach.

These partnerships also facilitate long-term planning and sustained support for humanitarian programmes, enabling us to respond effectively to emergencies and promote respect for international humanitarian law. Together, the ICRC and our foundation and trust partners work towards building a more resilient and compassionate world, where vulnerable populations see their needs met and their suffering reduced.

Why work with us?

For over 160 years, we have worked with foundations, trusts and other parties to help people affected by conflict or armed violence. By working together, we can adapt more quickly, see complex risks more clearly, share and innovate more freely and invest our resources wisely while creating shared value for both partners.

We have a long-standing reputation as a trusted, neutral organization that is committed to the principles of humanity and upholds the rights of people caught up in conflicts. Partnering with us provides credibility and ensures that humanitarian efforts are conducted to the highest ethical standards.

Where does your money go?

93.5%
of donations are used directly for the ICRC's work in the field

The ICRC budget is financed entirely by voluntary contributions. Every donation is important to us, and we are grateful for each contribution we receive. Your generosity will help us alleviate the suffering of conflict victims worldwide and is a source of encouragement to the ICRC in Geneva and our delegates in the field.
